Dear Heineken Roeivierkamp competitors,
This following announcement contains information about decisions made by the race directory after the evaluation of the last Roeivierkamp. This following announcement contains information about decisions made by the race directory after the evaluation of the last Roeivierkamp.
As you may have noticed the Heineken Roeivierkamp got more crowded. At the banks of river Amstel more cyclist follow the race each year, at Nereus more supporters and spectators show up every year and especially on the water more boats crowd the river each edition. The consequence of this more ever growing crowds in combination with our unique way of racing is that the limit of what the Amstel can carry is reached.
This is why we, the organizing committee of the Heineken Roeivierkamp, had to put a cap at the amount of boats that could enter the Heineken Vierkamp. This cap will be executed using a set of rules that are described in the document “Rules of Qualification H4K 2020” that will be enclosed with this message. The document can also be found on our website.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the Heineken Roeivierkamp,
The race directory,
Thomas Hakkennes (race director long track)
Mark Buis (race director short track)
Joost van Genuchten (race director long track)
